Guacamole

Chips and Guacamole is a regular friday night tradition in our house. This is a simple, wonderful recipe that can also be used in mexican preparations like Burritos, Seven Layered dips, Tacos, Nachos, etc. This is a wonderful way to feed Avocados to your young ones. Skip the green chilli if your little one is sensitive, as it is hard to find it amidst the guacamole.

A simple, yummy, nutritious chutney that can be used to complement idlis, dosas and can also be used during fasting days. Easy way to feed multiple vegetables to your family. We first were attracted to this chutney when our friend (Jeya’s) mom, Mrs. Ramalakshmi, made this and our son Nila Madhav joyfully ate it with idlis !

Spaghetti Squash

[Published By:Surya | On: 6 Sep 2010 | 1 Comment | Tags: ,,,.]

We prepared Spaghetti Squash this Saturday for Ekadasi. Ekadasi is a fasting day when we refrain from food prepared with grains or beans. Ekadasi is typically observed for 3 reasons: rid oneself of reactions to past sinful activities (as one continues to work on transformation of the heart), minimize material engagements and focus on spiritual activities, and to practice maintaining spiritual focus even in times of bodily discomforts. This is ofcourse a wonderful dish even for a regular day.
